I can remember a time when I could feel that gap between the kind of images I was able to create, and the images I really wanted to create. I was frustrated because I didn't know what was missing or what I needed in order to grow as a photographer.
It was then that I took my first workshop. I cried through half of it, partially from relief, and partially from joy. I was finally able to see a way forward, and the instructor gave me the encouragement I needed at just the right time. That workshop marked my journey.
Since then, I have taken only a few small workshops, but mostly focused on finding mentors who could help me grow. It wasn't always easy, but without them, I wouldn't be the photographer I am today.
I am now honored to be able to be a guide for other photographers now. I enjoy providing real-world, practical instruction, while also being an encourager and cheerleader. Those who I mentor know, one of my favorite phrases is, "GOOD JOB!"
